Nature Within the Self

Atone to Nature we must do before too late we find ourselves permanently postponed...

Nature Within the Self…

To worship Nature in all her beauty,

Is to become one with Nature, a Naturists duty,

To become one we must find Nature within the self,

We must become within that which is Nature’s stature…

We must feel her agonizing state of being,

We must know her for herself, not for what we see,

We must use our insight to ascertain her needs,

We must be there for her, night and day,

Her voice we need to be, her life we need to extend, can this you see?

She has been here for us, since the beginning of time,

And will do so if we assist her till the end as we climb,

Up the ladder to the heavens and beyond, into the universe we go,

Nature does exist there as well, this we must ultimately know…

Yes, she is not just a figment of imagination, nor just a part of this earth alone,

She exists within us and we within her, and has done so since time unknown,

We must, to make her feel welcome, allow her to sit on her personal throne,

To show her we are sorry, we must forever and always atone…

I loved this! And I agree completely. I often wonder what of nature's beauty will be left for my kids and grandkids to enjoy in years to come with what we're doing to her now.

i love laying back and observing her at her best
just let mother nature work for you

I just found out they seem
to be more trustful of children
more curious of them them us adults
Great write Ed

Oh I am a nature child...I love my ocean my forest my rivers...and sometimes i write poetry using nature to cover my deepest feelings and emotions...I become one with nature...I become the ocean..the brush of the wave upon the shore.....the smallest part of it hidden in the grain of sand...my soul becomes the rock...the stormy weather...my tears the raindrops........my heart the thunder...my eyes the lightning...my feet the foundation to seek for love once more in nature!!

I agree 100 %. I often wonder when the next set of grandchildren will be able to take in the beauty of nature and drink fressh unpolluted water. I feel as do you. Nature is deep within every part of my day and nights and I am thankful.
There is a rich indian psalm that was a favorite of my fathers'
"we do not inherit this earth from our ancestors...we borrow it from our grandchildren." I always taste those words every day.
great poem. Bravo!!
Susan
