Not exactly up to my usual stuff, but just playing with different ideas I have had of late...

Littered…

Man does dump his trash wherever he pleases,

In the forest, on the beach, in the oceans,

Does he realize what comes from trash, yes diseases?

He has dumped his trash everywhere he did go,

Starting in Europe, then the Americas,

Even in space, heavenly bodies littered with mans waste…

Tonight I looked at the moon on the rise,

And imagined just how it would look without the trash,

Yes even there did man leave his mark,

No place being sacred, even heaven has mans trash, I do surmise…

...not up to your usual stuff? is that what you said, Ed? Hmmmmm... well, nothing 'usual' about this, to be sure... but I have selected another word for this one... how does PROFOUND strike you? or perhaps you prefer THOUGHTFUL... how 'bout IMPORTANT? Choose the one you like... they all apply to this. Would I kid you? Great stuff! (especially about the moon, where the golf ball was left.. sigh) katy xox. p.s. and how lovely that you did this one in my FAVORITE color! Thanks!

I'm glad to see someone else is worried about our environment; it truly is one of the pressing issues of our time. But with the war center stage on everyone's mind, environmental issues are not even being discussed in this Presidential campaign, and that is very very sad.
