Speaking to the Wind

Speaking to the Wind…

It does speak to me,

Through the tops of the trees,

They have known it as they have grown,

The wind through the trees, it always has blown…

It speaks to the past,

To those that have passed,

It speaks to the present,

To those of us who are pleasant…

As for the future,

The wind, like us, has no knowledge,

It does worry regards Nature,

Will it in future fall over the edge…?

If one could speak to the wind,

One would know of its travels,

Around the world and back again,

You would find it not blind,

Nor has it ever sinned…

It does keep of man,

A distance for its own good,

This has been its lifelong plan,

The reason it has lasted and lived so long,

Mother Nature could learn of this winds song…

Listening to the wind speak is a marvelous thing to do, and this is a marvelous poem, my friend. I also wish that I could constantly travel around the world like it does.
