Is not a park, Nature? Why "build" parks, why not leave them natural...?
How is a park made by first leveling the land…? First they do tear out the trees, Then they do level the land, Filling in the ponds, Taking away places for animals to live, No longer are there trees to build nests… Once the land and space is cleared, Then they put in a parking lot, Curbs to keep cars out, Grass is planted, fields for ball playing is leveled, Since when does a park have no trees or animals…? Then they do have buildings to erect, Is this the way to build a park, is this correct? Places for vendors to sell their wares, Places for bathrooms, people don’t seem to give a care… Why not just leave the land in its natural state? Able for people who do care to fish with bait, Able to watch birds and other animals mate, Trees for natural shade, no parking lots with gates… © ed ~ 4/3/05

Man. Always getting in the way of Nature's progress.

Pitiful--pretty soon, we will be wondering, where have all the trees gone? The animals are already leaving in droves and winding up in suburban America.

Why not just leave the land in its natural state?

Oh, how I wish more would listen to these words - they are truly needed in today's world where we have a tendency to pave over anything and everything - in our way of so called 'progress.'

One day the world will be completely paved over, and completely artificial, and I'm glad I won't be around to see it.

I call it stupidity....man made fakes....but maybe it is done to help those on wheelchairs and walking sticks to enjoy the sun in a park!!

Amen! Many places in Europe leave the land in its more natural state and bulid the park around it. A friend of mine in Italy sent me some photos of parks their, because I too like parks that are more natural.
