Good-bye to April 2005...

Aprils Last Harrah…

Tomorrow brings May,

Supposedly spring like,

Or so they say,

Sun and warmth to get out and ride my bike,

Catching some spring like rays…

Though tonight we are still experiencing Aprils last breath,

Rain, thunder, and wind it presents us,

Just before it does for another 12 months find death,

Farewell I say to April, go your way, take the train or the bus…

Will May bring us flowers?

Or more of April’s overdue showers,

No longer, we hope, we will not have to, in our homes, cower,

We do pray to Mother Nature that she will use her power,

And allow us a spring that does not make us lour…

I lost my shirt at Harrah's. I was flirting with April while May was rolling me.

Can't tell you how much I relate to this, Ed. I usually have been wearing shorts for a couple of months by now, I am sure, but this year the cold winds and leaden skies have kept the feel of a perpetual November. Think I need to go where the Trade Winds do blow... or at least to recapture the warm summers of a few good old rock concerts of the halcyon seventies to put that chill to flight! Just almost (not!) spotted myself in the crowds on a DVD of a Lynard Skynard concert of 1976, so that cheered me up a bit! Never mind, Jerry's Sugar Magnolia will make up for it... :)) LOL Kate xx

Tell Rufuz, I couldn't find a dog that writes;-)sorry! Maybe you'll take a picture of ruf writing and send it to me;-)...

I heard April say:
"I'm giving way to May
and I know Ed and Rufuz
will have a nice day
when they go out to play
on the first day of May"

My flowers are blooming but we are still getting rain, so Spring is still being as fickle as ever. I am ready for things to start warming up a bit and for the the springtime heavy winds to wane.
Take care,
Sherry
