Return of Summer

Oh what a bummer,

We seem to have returned to summer,

The heat is getting again oppressive,

If summer is indeed trying to make a comeback,

I do find it not so very impressive…

The fall temps have been so cool,

To sleep at night with a blanket does rule,

Not long do I see far ahead where winter winds will be cruel,

It’s just that I have had summer again for another year,

Let summer move now to the southern hemisphere…

Now, believe it or not, winter is what we look forward too,

To go out for a walk with the dog and basically turn blue,

Having to dress in warm clothing that I may have outgrew,

The summer heat now can move on to the land of the kangaroo…
