Mistress…

I love and respect my dearest Renee,

She nurtures my being, she is happy to play,

Around she has been since the beginnings of my day,

Around she will be till we both from this world decay…

But she has to for my mistress give way,

She realizes this, not far from her may I stray,

A life without my mistress would find me in disarray,

I try not to but am afraid, this is still for me an old cliché…

My ocean, only twelve miles of her,

Off a strip of land barely six blocks wide,

There is where I do to her convey,

My feelings, my thoughts, my pain, my dismay,

She has as well seen me go astray,

And when I was younger and less I did weigh…

Her silence as she laps the shore at my feet,

Her anger I have witnessed on those days she is gray,

She has warned me never to of her betray,

For her wrath is powerful and one I wish not to see her display…
