Not long before white does cover the ground,

Not long before our sight is blinded by white,

Not long before the cold does nip at our nose,

Not long before a cold north wind blows…

Not long before trees turn to frosted white,

Not long before streets take on any icy sheen,

Not long before we slip & slide falling on our buns,

Not long before long pants & sleeves are mandatory…

Not long before our allergies do thankfully fade,

Not long before we hope our electric is fully paid,

Not long before the animals go into hibernation,

Not long before winters meditation…
