For a killer thirst, Drink blood first, Sea water will, Make your sanity burst… Jekyll or Hyde, Sea water will make you hide, Worse ever it will make you snide, This I too you do confide… Lack of sanity the worst, You will swim down deep headfirst, Your lack of judgment you will have cursed, Once for drinking sea water, your insanity, Cannot be in anyway reversed… Out of your head, Sleeping under a bed, Your paranoia fed, This was written by me, I was once known as Ed… © ed ~ 10/04/06

I can relate to this (gag), as I have often - accidently - swallowed some of that briney stuff. Not planned, but the swells came on suddenly. Lawdy, Ed...why'd you remind me? :o)

*burp* I've drunk it too, but not intentionally...phoo! Almost drowned when I got caught in a rip--LOL Not too tasty. :) But this write is--love it, and you (whoever you are). :)

Here in South Africa they drink sea water as a kinda medisan.....no jokes about that....the black culture thingy....they say it cleanses you from inside!!

Ed I can't believe an old salt like you would ever drink sea water . I know we can get caught by tides and waves thrown areound ang get an unexpected gulp but we try not to swallow it. Hope it's just a poem;-) Rufuz help Dad he's losing it...woof!

This was a funny piece you have here Sir ...but I question the inference here to the Jekyll or Hyde, particularly since I was wading shin deep in the surf today with high tide approaching. Had my camera in hand and pictures were clicking...that is until I stepped in a sink hole and shin deep water was no longer in my vocabulary...needless to say, I understand the part where you aforementioned the effects of drinking sea water...LOL enjoyed your write sir.
