A Day at Home...

Reflecting off the car windshield,

Blinding me while in my house concealed,

A party across the street in the field,

Cannot attend, depression revealed…

The boys wearing long short pants,

Their tee shirts draped over potted plants,

The heat & humidity not yet so very oppressive,

Shade from the tree’s oh so impressive…

Green grass growing so wild,

Does of this writer beguile,

A creek rushing past within earshot,

Flies buzzing everywhere, a slight breeze,

I hope this poem has made you smile…

How's Rufus today/ He would make me smile. It is going to be in high 90's this weekend. Daughter Kris phoned and asked if I got the air condition up to running. Do, and will stay cool. My NJ sister in law and Tom's niece are going to shore to a private beach and condo near Ocean Grove, NJ. Love Ocean Grove, NJ and visited there with Tom when his Sister Ruth Anne has a cottage there. Always wanted to go back there someday too. Boardwalk was fun. Ice cream was good on a drizzly day too. Every time I get ice cream it rains, like it did while eating rum raisin in Bermuda on beach. Oh well, into each life some rain must fall.

YEAH ... doncha jus' love those young upstarts wif da baggy pants? I calls 'em "BAGGY AGNES'S" ... look like any minute a big TURD will fall out! the older versions, when we were kids, were actually called "TURD DROPPERS!"

Then, the caps worn askew... "ROOTIE KAZOOTIE" ... Glad WE didn't have any "way out" FADS, right? The funny part is that they actually believe they are ... KOOL !!!

YO MOMMA! L' Chiam! Tom.

Have fun on your day off, but remember this: don't stop by work (unless it's to get your paycheck); you may be called in to work. Lesson learned. Well done, Ed!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

It Did! And I can picture you and Rufuz now, soon relaxing in that Jersey creek, with a slight warm breeze blowin, and all those flies buzzin all around you!!

Have Fun, and Use Plenty of Soap, Bro - It Chases Away Those Flies!!!!
