Poem Artwork

It was in the mid seventies,

And stayed into January in the sixties,

Tonight its but eighteen degrees,

Even Rufuz does not want out to pee on the frozen trees…

This time last year,

The leaves were still on the trees,

The grass as well was still green and growing,

No ice did cover the creek, it was still flowing…

This time last year,

We all wore shorts and t-shirts,

And walked on the beach as if in summer,

This year is cold and snowy with more predicted,

This time this year winter is just a bummer…

This time last year, we were shivering in the chill of a winter blast. This year, at 6:02 A.M., it's 62 degrees...NUTZ! Wish Mother Nature would make up her mind. You know we had an unusual year (wrote enough about it)...Spring ran from winter 'til fall, and now it's summer in December, with the leaves at peak color...supposed to be in the 80s today and tomorrow, 60s Sunday, and 40s (if lucky) Monday and Tuesday...with cold rain...maybe winter precip. SCREWY! Stay inside, dear (((Ed and Rufuz))). Looks/sounds c-c-cold! Adorable write and pic, though.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Winter 8is cold and Rufuz has the beautiful fur coat that, I'll bet, you would like to have. May your heart stay warm in spite of the chill and maybe, if you're good, Santa will bring you a hot body in the form of dear Renee.
love,
Susan
