Blessed you are by living close to your beloved ocean, Ed. There is a healing in the waters; a good place to go and recoup when you feel down...and for RufuZ to get some exercise :o) Beautiful and meaningful poem, friend!

I really like this one. I am a Jersey girl but for the past years have gone to the shore in NC (please don't call me a traitor). My husband has said to have his ashes scattered there on the big sand dune (Jockeys' Ridge in Kitty Hawk, NC)--but I much more perfer the ocean--to wash around the world!!
Hmmmm I said that too, toss my ashes in the Tasman Sea, let me drift home..You been hanging round the docks again Ed, getting all sassy bout the sea :):) Wot about Ruffie? Take care my Friend, all is well here, little man is doing fine, big Man...mmmmm it's a variable. Hugs
Now you are talking as a sailor worth his salt, and brother, yours ashes will certainly been mixing with mine and give some damn tourist a mouthful taste of old America in a gulp...ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!
Another sad sea story to read, but ends in gladness for cremation is only taking us home to our graves, and our spirit is in heaven. If you want the sea as your final resting place for the ashes, so let it be.
This is one very touchy subject to me
And yes I agree
I would also like
To die peacefully
Quick
No pain no suffering
And then I want to be cremated
My ashes to be scattered upon the sea!!
There must be NOTHING left behind...
No urn…no flowers
Please
No one needs to be reminded
I was there once
This will be
My very last and final wish
To become ONE with the sea
That is where
I want to be

and ship me out to sea.
Honor God and Country;
Toss me to the waves.
