Hurricane Waves...

Forthcoming are they

Big Bertha sending them our way

Far out to sea is Bertha’s power

Of mariners she is set to devour…

 

They come ashore in 15 second intervals

Only 5 to 10 feet in height, still surfers goals

The ocean during a storm surge seems to have a soul

Speaks to me each wave does, of my board it does control…

 

Current strong pulling out to sea

Treating man like so much debris

Such fun each wave a potpourri

Riding these waves I wail like a banshee…

Know you survive on those waves, and do like to ride them as often as you can. Let no weather mar your fun, it has to be done. Love the ocean picture, so beautiful. Wish I could live nearer it too.

I'd get kind a worried if the waves look angry for we know what damage they can do, although I have often said I would love to live in a beach house so I could go to sleep each night with the music of the sea and wake up each morning to the breeze in my face. Thank you for sharing a great write Ed.

Wonderfully imaged in verse, Ed, just stay safe on those waves, 'hear? And if you get caught in a rip, swim parallel to the beach, you'll get out of it. :)
