The Delaware bay seems almost as bad, storm wise, as the ocean, sometmes worse... _____________________________

Wind whips water with wonder, Bay breakers break beach bodies, Judgment juxtaposed jauntily, Nature’s never named next nemesis… Up the bay coast she rides, Bringing along no lies, She never said she wouldn’t, Destroy what in her path lies… Little if any left in her wake, Building on waters edge man’s mistake, He’ll though never learn, can’t have as well his cake, Maybe better to build on the shore of an inland lake… © ed ~~~ 3/3/09

What a wild bay scene. But I do like it. We all have wilk things in our lives come to us and fighting them is the most ambitious things we can do. Storms come parallel and come and go and we go on whatever til the calm comes again. Thanks for reminding us of that dangerous thing that can come in our lives. A wild bay with things to be settled down. Mostly by prayer I think.

I love a good storm blowing across a body of water be it lake or ocean and I have sailed on ships on both. To feel the full force of wind rain and sea coming together in a blinding rage and surviving that is to feel truly alive.

You're right, Ed. When the Bay gets angry, run! I remember
a number of high wind, high water storms on the Chesapeake,
especially when I lived at the mouth of the Bay. What lake
do you have in mind? -gene.
