Contemplating distant rumblings...

Poem Artwork

The gods are speaking in tongues,

In the distance with thunderous rumblings,

Sometimes they do roll to a closer distance,

They then sound like goddess’s grumbling…

All around me they do roll through,

The ocean in front of me, the lightening behind,

Storms over the ocean do present to be unkind,

Though if you know her Mother Ocean is never a shrew…

Am I hearing God himself speaking to me,

Is he telling me I have to stay alive & be free,

The power of these thunder-growlings can scare,

But not as for me, I welcome them as prayer…

Ed,

A very beautiful poem. Thunder is a bit scary and could indeed be God trying to tell you something.

Love this introspection and the questions concerning God. You made the thunder come to you and soothe your mind. Thatsa good.
