We finally got a break from the triple digit heat. The bad news is that the area still dry and the drought continues. It was cool working outside today, but the wind portends more fires.

2% of Texas has burned. And Perry is not talking about it. That is equivalent to the states of Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and Delaware combined. With disaster funds being held up, if those three states had burned, everyone would be yelling bloody murder. Instead, it's just another ranch, farmhouse, pine forest that burned in a big old state that can take it. Winter won't come soon enough.

Sorry for the rant.

Yes! I feel it in the air too....but after the summer we had here in eastern Canada...summer is no great loss..sigh! So far though, Fall has been warm and sunny and absolutely beautiful...albeit too cold to go swimming in the ocean...giggle...

Summer is now through,
And the thought of winter,

Before you know it the hot humid weather will be back. Down here in Phoenix it is still in the 90's and dry.
