It started around 7am,

Big flakes covering the grass,

This snow event isn’t going to just pass,

It is predicted till early tomorrow to last…

So pretty it is to sit inside & of it watch,

Fortunately I have no plans for it to botch,

Enjoy this we can, in this our little notch…

It’s a heavy wet snow, but still only lays on surfaces soft,

Great it is for making snowballs to at my neighbor’s loft,

But it won’t stay around long, will melt by the end of the week,

I say this quite rarely, but I kind of wish it would visit us more oft…
