...summer is winding down, but the ocean is still warm and inviting...

Poem Artwork

A dip in the sea,

For a refreshed soul, the key,

Yes, the person who did this was me,

Went down on a Wednesday,

Cause the beach doesn’t that day charge a fee…J

Didn’t walk too very far,

Just enjoyed a short hop over a few rollers,

What waves there were, broke out on the sandbar,

Or too close to the shore so to them all I could say was au revoir…J

The water was clean & relatively warm,

About seventy degrees, this time of year the norm,

I did little to speak of, what with no waves to ride,

I would like to get down again, before summer does by slide…J

It's too bad they have to charge for you to use the ocean that's free. But I guess they have to pay lifeguards and clean up after the stupid litterers.

So glad you can still enjoy your favorite place to be.

We ride boogie boards on the waves in Lake Erie. Not as exciting as the ocean but it's fun.

Love ya!

Well, I don't live near the ocean but near a mighty river... ...and I just watch her and do not intend to swim in her. Lovely poem sharing your experience, Ed. Thank you. Love and peace,

Regis
