To us is this world we call earth,
We as humans do not own her,
Just because we’ve lived here so long,
Does not mean we can abuse her…

For every tree lost to loggers,
For every lake or creek polluted,
For every animal hunted to the point of extinction,
We humans will pay dearly in the end…

For every piece of humanities garbage,
Dropped carelessly without regard,
For every cigarette thrown on the grass,
By some car driving ass while stepping hard on the gas…

For every fire started in the forest,
Every mudslide, every flood, we get no rest,
As it is humanity that does eventually cause this effect,
When Mother Earth is no longer livable we will all pay her price,
No breathable air shall we have, no water to drink,
Nor food to eat, only then will we realize what we’ve done,
