Another nor'easter doth approacheth

Snow maybe yes, maybe no, most likely rain...

Poem Artwork

This time though we "may" get some snow,

Not hopefully another big blow,

The beaches are eroded quite enough,

Getting them ready for the upcoming summer is going to be rough…

Hurry up people get out there and pick up your milk and bread,

Be sure to carry an umbrella to keep the snow off your head,

Personally I do look forward to this upcoming storm,

Because sooner or later the cold will be gone and then we get the warm…

I love winter’s storms by the sea,
They have an attraction for me,

The storms of winter keep away the tourists,

A storm is something I can check off my bucket list.

That’s why I’m down south soaking in the warm rays of the

The sun where now and then I’m the beachcomber searching

For sea shells and creative words to compose long awaited verses

Enjoy your snow storm my friend..... peace Be with you

A very informative poem. This to will pass... It just did and my sister said she could not go out to celebrate her birthday in N.J. this year. No, thank you, Jerry. I will stick in out down south, right here.

Those of you along the Atlantic shore have taken quite a few
hits in recent years. Nice to hear you're still getting milk
and bread delivered on your front porch. But even hurricanes can't
keep the tourists away from Fla.

This current snow storm reminds me of back some years ago when a local weather forecaster John Bolaris was the only one predicting a Snow Maggedden which never really materialized and all we had was 3 days of very light snow and sleet....

I can just see you checking them off… Storm number 1, 2, 3…

I like that you have an optimistic view of these storms. Hopefully that will change all those comments about worrying about you when there was nothing to worry about.

Unfortunately, I think the East Coast is fairly well doomed as far as beaches go. I think as the years go by, the storms will be stronger and more frequent with Sandy only the beginning. Many beachfront places will have to vacate as the beaches continue to erode away and nature reclaim what was always nature's.

This March reminds me of our move from our rather new in town bungalow to an old farmhouse in the spring of 1960. On the weekends, Dad would get a straight truck from the trucking company he worked for and we would haul furniture and other things the 10 miles or so to move. It seemed that every weekend, like clockwork, we got a lot of snow, making the move more difficult.

Enjoy the winter storms while they last; Spring is not far behind and winter will have to give up its ghost.

I'm not too fond of the last Nor'easter which took down my peach tree. I wonder what this one will do.
