Poem Artwork

The trees of leaves are bare,

Except for Christmassy pines,

Still again raining out there,

All trees are like fine wines…

The wind out of the nor’east,

Cool and wet, another stormy beast,

Dry, toasty & warm in my home,

No place to go out to anywhere roam…

Wishing for snow,

Yes, a rather big blow,

Let them snowdrifts grow,

Leastways there is no grass to mow.

It's also hard for anyone to kick wet sand in your face.
Rainy days, fine wines, and Ed. It kinda reminds me of a book of poetry I read somewhere.

Cute. No grass to mow but plenty of snow to shovel.

On Dec. 14th, I mowed my yard, but just to mulch the leaves. Now it can snow.

We are waiting for our rain later today. Bummer! This time of year, "All I want is a room somewhere far away from the cold night air with one enormous chair.........". That song sums it up for me! I enjoyed this poem a lot, Ed!! Good goin'!

Love ya!

Lots of time to contemplate one's navel. You mow the grass at your castle? Winter will be here soon enough and if the power goes out, you will surely wish you were further south.

And when the snow comes, we wish it would go away. Thus the seasons have their say. Winter will come, never fear.

And here it is devilishly hot. I want winter.
