Mom Nature is again attacking humanity.

Poem Artwork

The grim northeast wind is pounding at my bedroom window,

I can see the trees shaking while in its cold grasp,

The rain as well is blown all asunder and about,

No doubt we are not or will be in a drought…

No wind chill this time of year,

But it sure feels colder with the breeze,

I went out with shorts but got cold were my knees,

I should have realized just by looking across the street at the trees…

Humanity must have again against Mother Nature sinned,

She has thrown at us for several days a chilling wind,

The warming temps are for now gone,

And believe me I am beyond chagrined.

One thing about the weather is certain. It always changes, and with climate change, it's changing for the worse. And we need leadership that recognizes that fact, and acts on it instead of blunt denials, or thinking some God will make it all better.

You have described wind so well here, its force and its chill, enough to chill the heart.

I'm tired of the rain. I hope Mother Nature changes her mood soon.

Humanity must have again against Mother Nature sinned,

She has thrown at us for several days a chilling wind,

Oh yes, indeed! Humans have been destroying their home for a long time and now, we are paying the price.

Here it is the opposite... ...way too hot and dry for the Pacific Northwest.

Love and peace and best wishes,

Regis
