The Heat has Returned, long live the cold...

I do so miss the winter winds,
Of the cold of snow, I do forever grin...:)

Poem Artwork

 Another wave of summer heat,

Mother Nature accomplishing this feat,

No longer can I walk in my bare feet,

Damned diabetes is such a cheat…

I hate the hot weather,

I cannot wear my hat of leather,

Too much then do I sweat,

Though it does keep me inside,

And there I eat many a cheese omelet…

Protein I am told is what I need,

And eggs are full of it, so on there I feed,

The summer is near to be over,

Putting me into my favorite temperatures,

Coolness will come bringing me the life in clover.

I love the heat, but admit that I need air conditioning at night. I'm unfortunately, very sensitive to temperature.

Too many egg yolks will surely clog your veins and arteries more, compounding your problems. I know that egg whites are probably tasteless to you, but that's your only safe source of protein other than very lean meat. Cheese is also a source of cholesterol and too much salt.

The best way to beat the heat and diabetes? Starve yourself thin. It will work like a charm.

I'm also ready for colder temperatures, tired of the humidity. Fall will be a welcome change.

Summertime sadness: Northern B.C. to get up to 1 foot of snow this weekend.

Love, peace, and cooler temperatures,

When it gets hot, you can be naked and still be hot, and stressed.
When it's cold, you can keep comfy by being warmly dressed.

Some people prefer summer's heat, others prefer winter's chill.
Each of the seasons bring their own blessing still.

Here's to a life in clover, may it be yours!
