“SLUGS”

The very name denotes a negative connotation,

 One where we should be sickened or disgusted,

  One where we feel we must destroy it,                               ...or chase in away in someway   

 But, to really appreciate Nature in her fullest,

 We need to examine these creatures,

  We need to know what their function ,

                                                    …in the grand scheme.

  In a way, they are even pretty,

 Yes, pretty, with their many colored spots,

                                                  some big, some small,

 Much like people, as we are all creatures of Nature,

 All on this little bluish & greenish crystal ball in the universe.

               All participating in the game of life…
