Doin' the Beach with Rufuz

Gonna do the beach today with Rufuz, so am sure I will have something to write more on it later...for now, enjoy this!

     “Doin’ the Beach with Rufuz”

Gonna do the beach with Rufuz today,

We go down put our laundry in the washer,

Then he and I get to go playing on the beach,

Sometimes I chase the gulls, sometime he,

Howsoever, we always have fun & that’s not a reach.

With the weather so cool,

The beach is ours to rule,

No more tourists to worry about,

No other doggies so Rufuz doesn’t get into a bout.

No matter the water temp, Rufuz loves to run in the ocean,

But for me, shells can be picked up and saved,

Certain shells make great ashtrays,

While others mark sides of walkways that are paved.

Few big conchs’ can be found just on the beach,

Gotta dig down a bit or be able to walk the sand bars,

Either way, we usually end up with some nice finds,

Be it shells or just stuff washed up during storms,

Wish the ocean was even just a little lukewarm.

So, its off we go for our short drive to the shore,

And there will more to write when home we arrive,

And that you can be quite sure…

Unfortunately, the laundry still awaits when you get home too! Nice break from the humdrum of household duties. I'm sure you and Woofie enjoy the quietude! b
