Shakin' & Quakin'

The winds are blowin' again...

Shakin’ & quakin’…

Ah the old camper is shakin’ today,

With every gust of northwest winds,

The old girl lets me know,

Every little crosswind to blow,

Actually is warm enough inside,

But out is cold enough that even Rufuz shivers.

They speak of snow this weekend,

Not that I don’t like it, but we had our share last year,

Unfortunately, snow is a product of winter,

And Nature gives us a shot every now and then.

But I guess I got to live with it,

If I am in Jersey to stay,

But this wind, that we have had so much so far this year,

Well, I just wish it could be kept at bay.

I love the cold weather, but the wind, biting at my back,

Keeps the temps down lower,

Which makes me want to stay, with Rufuz, in our little shack.

Ed,

I love this write. Hope you and Rufuz are able to get warm. It's cold here, too. My kitty Laurel is lying right next to the fireplace. That's the best place to be, if you have one.

yeah, that ol' winter wind sure does cut through ya' like a knife! it used to not bother me, but since livin' in texas, where they get a lot of wind, and developin' arthritis, my body just can't handle the cold winds anymore. i would love the cold if it were not for the winds; the winds nearly kill me! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :) sure did feel the bite of the wind in this write; BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! LOL at least you have RUFUZ to snuggle up to if you get cold, I have karla, but half the time she ends up kickin' me out of bed coz she gets too hot! LOL plus she sprawls out over the bed, and all i have is this TEEEEEENY TIIIIINNNNY little space for me to lay on! LOL

Great write Ed,
Yep, I hear you loud &
clear...
The wind seems to cut
right through you...
Being from Illinois
myself, I know why they
call it the "windy city."

Try to stay warm... :)
