Nature, but could also be under animals or pets, sort of...

FULL WOLF MOON…

Per the Native American,

This night’s full moon,

Is considered to be the Full Wolf Moon,

As when it was cold outside,

The wolves would be howling,

Just outside the encampment,

Howling for food,

And, I assume, the right to keep warm.

I have never heard that of a real wolf howl,

I wish someday I will but am not sure how,

Just once do I want to hear this soulful sound,

Just once in my life of man’s noises,

The wolf howl would come as comfort in the night,

Helping me to sleep thru the night,

Till the next days light,

As that is the only thing that is right,

If once I might,

Hear this howl at night,

I would pay dearly for the privilege.

To hear it on TV, or radio,

Does not do me or the wolf justice,

We both need to feel & know the other is near,

Now wouldn’t that be just so nice?

More I could write on this subject at hand,

But the time approaches for me to leave for work,

So, work, I must do so that someday I can,

Be either living or visiting somewhere,

Near wolves and their land…

I love what you wrote, and the graphic, Ed. Love wolves, and if I'm lucky, maybe someday I can hear one for true also. Good words.

Love your graphic here, Ed. I've heard wolves howling several times up in Canada, and it's fabulous. Hope you get to hear them someday soon.
