OKAY, I HAVE HAD THIS FUCKING COLD-

Screw the Canadian High,

This cold is a full blown,

Front, dropping directly,

Down from the outer reaches of the Artic circle.

Extreme biting cold,

If I could I would have sold,

Out this spot in Jersey,

And ran away from this state of old,

To the warmer temps of Florida,

Or Mexico or points south of there,

Because, the only happy creatures here,

Are those that have a coat like a bear.

Please don’t see this as whining,

As if I were to whine,

It would come out and freeze in mid-moan,

For the weather this season of winter,

Is the coldest I can remember,

And an old guy like me,

Can recall many winters past,

But none that I have found to be,

So cold as to last,

This long, & I wish that winters last gasp,

Was closer to happening,

Than approximately a few months down the line…    (ed)
