A Visit from Momma Whale...

A magnificent creature of love and sympathy for all, too bad man hunts them and kills them, all for something that can be made synthetically...

a visit from momma whale…

fishing off of Sea Isle in the ocean last summer,

caught very little, wondered why, but just lack of luck,

then from the depths she arose,

a good 30 some feet or more,

with baby in tow,

we pulled in our lines for fear one would get stuck,

even small hooks could hurt this massive, loving beast,

and that we could not have…

She blew her air, what bad “breath” she must have,

but it splattered water over all of us,

almost as if she was saying thanks, but,

could you guys move on, as this is my fishing spot…

then we knew why our catch was lacking,

she was in the area & the little fish were slacking,

far from this momma sperm, or so we thought,

not being knowledgeable regards same,

So home we went, figuring it was only right,

and fish we finally just went & bought…

an experience we had that few enjoy,

something to tell the grandkids,

or just my friends herein, oh what a joy…

OMG, I came and read whatever I could search of yours to thank you for reading me a "newbie" and what did I find but the most beautiful "whale" of a story. I'm awed because my newest piece highlights the "dolphin". Strange and beautiful world isn't it? I loved this.
