Fresh Coat of White Wash...

Natures white wash, so pure, so innocent, initially...

FRESH COAT OF WHITE WASH…

Time once again to white wash man’s neighborhood,

Clean it does look at 5am, six inches or more,

Should stay home today, take a snow day,

But find, I thoroughly love to play,

As does Rufuz in the fresh coating washing us white.

While it is still night,

The snow is a virgin white,

Not a footprint to be had,

Nor tire track on the road,

This is the time to catch Nature at her best.

She brings to us this new coating of white,

To wash away mans impurities,

She fights a losing battle, as she sees,

She has patience, but not a lot,

Her time to ruin what man has got,

Is fast approaching, as man will then get his lot…

Excellent, thought provoking write with a great warning within it. I agree the white is best at night.

Hi Ed...I love snow...especially when it is untouched and has those sparkles in it...and crunches underfoot...I just love it..then the snowplows come...and I hate when it turns gray and dirty...then I wish it to melt away fast....loved this...I can just see you and rufus romping in it..floria

Ed, this is good - you should do more nature writes - with some fabulous photos - you do these well.
