Snow Passed By...

Another enjoyable light snowfall, Rufuz enjoys it & I must admit I do as well...

Snow Passed By…

The snow; it came and went,

This storm so small,

Had more of a southern flavor,

As it came from that direction,

Riding the winds up the coast,

From North Carolina, to Virginia,

Thru Maryland, then Delaware,

Then into New Jersey where I reside…

So few inches, not like an artic blast,

But thank the gods of winter,

An artic shot is so cold, and waits,

To be told to move by its master,

Already the temps rise, melting,

This snow will not last, more than a few days…

But from whence it came, they had problems,

Not used to having snow of such intensity,

All in one shot, but fortunately for them,

They live in the warmer climes; it will melt faster there…

So Rufuz has more snow to play in,

To roll around and eat,

Keep telling him to watch that yellow snow,

But he does not listen, thinking he knows more,

So I let him play, he has precious few years to really have fun,

Let him do so while he is still quite young…

Going by the directions you have quoted here, I just have to talk to a friend of mine LOL...perhaps he caused it? He is on the road a lot and those just happen to be the States he has been in recently, the little devil LOL. Glad you enjoyed the snow :-)

Ed, gotta keep Rufuz happy also. After all, he knows the snow creature.

Ed this touched my heart. I have a 'rufus' in my life,
only mine's named Blackie. He likes nothing better than
to play in the snow and slide around on the ice. I don't
leave him long for he's an inside small dog...but he makes
use of his outside time. He's precious to me as I can see
your Rufus is to you. Excellent write, my friend.
