I was surprised to read a report of Blue bulls getting addicted to opium by grazing . Although they move about in herds,it gets into the field on its own and enjoys having the good time there and then it goes berserk and destructs opium fields,This has become a big problem for opium farmers in Central India where the Blue bulls are found in large numbers.

The Blue Bull (Nilgai) The blue bull grazed on opium blooms Taste for the heady flowers unleashed looms Rampaging fields of poppy in its sight Running tipsy and flattening farms by night Seeing broken stalks, farmers, now share their gloom Holley hocks are flowering Pink and white now blooming Garden path is lighted Birds are chirping spirited Sunlight falls and leaves are shiniing JK Roseline

Second set of verses doesn't seem to match the first? That is very interesting about the blue bulls.

Two weeks ago we were given some Nilgai meat by a friend. It seems that they are very common here on Texas ranches and are taken by so-called hunters who like to shoot exotic animals who can't run away. Anyway, the meat was very good. I made the incorrect assumption that they were from Africa. Thanks for setting me straight.

I know that Hindus do not eat cows. What about Nilgai?
