Poem Artwork

All kinds of beings  make up our race

Big and small of different   takes

People are of various makes

Like   five fingers differ in size

Some   reach out, are at all  zones

Make rocket science, shoot up in space

In search of stars, and moons and other lands

Some are  lazy,  so live their life

Finding to do nothing at all

Some live like they will ever be there

All the cares of the world  know not where

Some are toiling day and night

Nothing on earth will make them halt

Until death  they   only work

Born to give, and not to take

Some like wolf of little Red Riding hood

Live  their life  fooling  others quick

Cheating, scheming, is all they do

Some are parasites, they like to suck

And thrive on happily, on their luck

They make no hay but live their way

Some pious ones always pray and share

And live their lives for others  care

Some hit the bottle at  very early age

And all they do is  drink and die

Some are happy   just to be around

Five times  food

And three times sleep

Some are like the cuckoo bird

Cunning and bright

They  lays  the eggs

In others nests

To see it  hatch and spring

Without the effort to bear offspring

And some are monks

   Who  renounce all

 Wish for only

The other life

Some are robbers

They like to gather

Precious jewels and dollar

Skilled to snatch from the other

 Some like being rapists

To show their might

On the weak and trodden

 Feel they have  a right

Some are fanatics

Who  love their beliefs

To wear it up their sleeve

In the name they care

Also to burn and hate

It happens to this date

Now and then

Some make difference

By  the color of  skin

You are black and I am white

And for others there is caste

 Creed and class

That is high as the mountain

And low  like at sea

And for those like us  dear friends

Are  the ones who love to write

With words we say

 What  comes to heart

In words we write

Happy we  be  this way !

You covered the weakness of the entire human race. Are we in one, a race? Very interesting and creative, but you left out the militarists and goody two shoes.

Yes, we do, Roseline! I tried telling my pen to shut up many times, but it has a mind of its own...
