Poem Artwork

Taj Mahal, a monument of love in moonlight

 Moonlight  in darkness

 Bright silvery shine blush on

 Beauty tones of night

  Glistening  greens  see

Dew drops moon dance  daintily

Smiling In  the air

  Marble rocks  smooth glow

Snow white mountains  stand

Saluting night’s show

 Sun  moon and the stars

Bring great goodness brightly so

We live and let live

Be happy, love, time fleets

It is a beautiful world

Where we came to be

The Taj Mahal certainly is a monument to love. And under the light of the moon, probably a glorious sight to behold.

Unfortunately, unless I am wrong, I believe that the ancient monument is scored by time and pollution. Close-up, it's beauty is deteriorating rapidly and does not have the appearance it had when it was originally built. I certainly hope that one of India's, and the world's finest monuments can be restored to its original glory someday.
