These blue bells grew on the fences of my home where i grew up. I have never seen these flowers again. But its memories remain fresh even after many many years

Poem Artwork

 Enchanting bells (A Sonnet)

The blue bells stared

 With  blue eyes bright

Flashing pink pupil in eyes, it peeped

How these fairy flowers smiled

Laughed at passer by,nodding in  wind

People move  helter  skelter up and down

Day in and out on the snaking road

Endless crowds, thinning  at night

Blue bells, it grew  either side in the wild

On its own, a purple blue carpet in green

 A magical setting,  lovely sight

Warming  cockles of the heart

Those  hearts it delicately touched and withered

Forever see   Blue bells  in their minds

They are, indeed, beautiful flowers. They remind me of the petunias that my mother planted every year with similar blossoms and, of course, my favorite, morning glories. Perhaps someone planted them and that's why they no longer appear.

Our famous bluebonnets seem to require much assistance from interested land owners to enrich some Texas farmlands every spring. Many of those and other wildflowers are planted by airplanes spreading seeds instead of the old days when only birds had that task.
