All in a week, This September 4 o clock , at day break still dark, Making the flames Coming off the window glow bright It huffed and it puffed Tongues of flame Happily dancing while We helplessly watched Dodging glass splinters flying down Plumes of black smoke Dressed the walls Like the witch’s black gown. Fire fighters waged war Clogged lifts with soot and water All in a week Another day same time The wind changed direction It was rain water Huffing and puffing On closed glass kitchen window Coming in Flooding rooms in a high rise! All seven floors in a row Nature decides How to sway Always one up Man’s ways

No one gets a free pass in this world. Our task is to meet each triumph or disaster with as much humility or courage as we can muster and move on--a little wiser, a little more compassionate, a little more understanding, and a bit more forgiving. If there is anything more, I have missed the point.

While flame was destroying in our West, we were experiencing wind and flooding in our South and Southeast.

The news media gave little at to what was happening in the Asian subcontinent with one report having 240 killed in flooding across the area.

I hope you are safe and dry from the wildfires and flooding that accompanied the monsoon.

Yes! So true!! While mankind is trying to make rules, Mother Nature gives a swipe of her mighty arm. It's like she's saying, "Take that!"!! 'Enjoyed so much!!
