Seems you have captured the magic of living on a farm which I have for several years. It's all that you have described. I settle now for a small little garden and watch God's magic as my seeds come to life.

It's too bad that we have to resort to commercial farms to experience the rural life that I was able to as a child. Life on the farm was simpler than in the city, but a constant source of despair for the farm owner who was constantly faced with life-and-death decisions and never had enough money to make the farm what he/she wanted it to be. Finally sold out to the factory farms.

Dear Isabella,

Your poem described a lovely painted picture of life on a farm.
In my last book, "Reflections...." Life on a farm is told from a WWII veterans point of view. It's much like your poem. I think everyone would benefit from spending a few weeks on a small family farm.
