Just having fun with words.

 IT’S ABOUT TIME

You can have a good time or a bad time,

And times when times are tough.

There’s this time, that time, and the next time,

And times when times are rough.

You can’t stop time,

But time can be lost.

And time is money,

If you add up the cost.

Time doesn’t matter,

Unless it’s a matter of time.

And you’ll be doing hard time,

If you commit a crime.

Time flies when you’re having fun.

It can go by so fast.

What once was the future,

Is now in the past.

Time can also go by so slow,

No faster than a crawl.

You’ll swear those hands aren’t moving,

When you watch that clock on the wall.

It can be a short time or a long time,

Or no time at all.

Or it could be time,

To get on the ball.

Time marches on,

But time waits for no one.

Doing something you enjoy,

Is time spent having fun.

You can be in time or on time,

Or have time to kill.

And there’s no time like the present,

When it’s time to pay a bill.

It can be a time honored tradition.

You can wear a time piece.

It can be time tested.

And you can sign a time lease.

There’s daytime and nighttime,

And air time on prime time on TV.

You can be on face time,

And see each other electronically.

There are time shares and time sheets,

And banks have time locks.

And when you go to work,

You have time cards and time clocks.

It can be timeless or timely.

You use a timer when you bake.

You can make time or take time,

And it can be time for a break.

It can be time to get up,

Then it’s time to go to bed.

And don’t forget nap time,

A siesta for a sleepy head.

There’s part time and full time.

There’s overtime at time and a half.

There’s downtime, double time, and past time,

And you can use a time graph.

Now I know I’ve said time, time after time,

But time is what it’s about,

And now my time is up.

It’s time I take a time out.

This is as extraordinary as A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. You should get a cover on Time for it.

Wow! This poem goes on for quite a long time. Not like your usual shorter efforts. It must have taken time to write it; but not lost time, since I enjoyed all the different ramifications of time. Excellent. John
