After reading several dark and morbid writes here on Ad, I felt it was my duty to lighten the mood. And any reports of my death are greatly exaggerated. I'm just having fun with wordss.

Death is inevitable, so why not have a laugh at death’s expense.

PASSED AWAY

A Humorous Look At Death

I’m going to kick the bucket,

And buy the farm.

I’ll bite the dust,

And be free from harm.

I’ll cash in my chips.

It’s curtains for me.

Assuming room temperature,

I’ll rest peacefully.

I’m going to give up the ghost,

And fall off my porch.

My number’s up,

It’s time to pass the torch.

I’ll take a dirt nap,

And sleep with the worms.

I’ll be pushing up daisies,

On the Grim Reaper’s terms.

Wearing a pine overcoat,

I'm headed forr that Big Rhyme in the Sky.

Shuffling off this mortal coil,

I'll kiss my ass goodbye.

You are welcome to die, just don't make me kiss YOUR ass goodbye. Such a great way to deal with death, short of dying...-e-

I don't know how you do it. You took all the euphemisms and managed to put them in fine writing style. Not only are you funny, you are a master tactician at finding the right words and putting them in the right order to make punning and cliché work in ways that are nearly miraculous. Bravo!

Like my uncle said after being moved from his assisted ("I love this place") apartment to a nursing hospital after he reached 101, "Nurse! Bring me a bucket! I want to kick it!"

Did you croak, or was that a frog I heard in the distance? What a great play with words, Michael. Cheers!
