This was funny Michael but it also reminds me of a piece I wrote about the importance of apples during the Great Depression. Why they called it Great is beyond me. Anyway, as you probably know apples were picked and sold to make money or to barter for other fruits and vegetables. However, an unbruized prized apple or an orange would be a Christmas present for a little child. Can you imagine that? Try giving THAT to a kid today! Ha!Ha! LOL

I would rather to collect not from a horse but a camel...:) -e-
I eat apples all year round, even here in the desert, but "road apples" are the best, especially those New England mackintosh apples that we used to get in farms outside of Boston. Thanks for reminding me in this season of autumn.
