MR. WRITE
Paula Paper loved Peter Pen,
She knew he was Mr. Write.
When he sang, “I dot my i’s on you,”
It turned her pages bright.
Peter Pen was all inked up,
His spring ready to click.
With perfect punctuation,
He’s much more than just a Bic.
Paula Paper was quite a piece.
Her stationeries are noted treats.
Paula Paper likes to rustle around,
She’s good between the sheets.
Peter Pen had a flair for text,
His moves were fluid and smooth.
His strokes were firm yet light,
When he was in a groove.
Then one night they put Pen to Paper,
And Paula set her binders free.
His ballpoint tip came out,
Her loose leafs got scattered about,
And they shared a write of ecstasy.
They composed all night long,
Each hoping it would never end.
Even when he started to fade,
Peter still left Paula well Penned.
Their feelings for each other couldn’t be erased,
They always wrote along great.
Peter Pen drew up the wedding plans,
And Paula married her true Papermate.

This poem ranks at the top of my list as the best of the best.
I laughed from beginning to end. And now I must walk around all
day with a smile on my face...leaving some to think last night was
a very good night for me.
Made me remember when I went for my trusted ballpoint (leaking from sideways pressure on the ball) to Flair pens of multiple colors depending upon my mood and reserving the red for correcting papers.

Just when I thought this poem could NOT GET BETTER the last line brought back some very fond memories of my late night dates with my Papermate!
This one was "OVER THE TOP!" mate.
