Frog Anyone?
Hey. I should shout, I didn’t let him out, , but I’m really now out on a limb,
My kids you can bet, are really upset, and I’ve gotta get away from mayhem,
I didn’t have a good grip, and then I let him slip, and there went Ol”Edward our frog,
Well he jumped so high, the kids let out a cry, that even scared Bruno our dog,
I had jumped back, but grabbed up a sack, and tried to get ol’Edward in it,
Then Bruno was growlin, the kid were all howlin, he’s gonna get et any minute !,
But Thankfully no, Ol’Bruno’s too slow, and Edward just hopped out the door ,
Horror of horrors, now I really have sorrows, God, I don’t need anymore,
The street was a zoo ,he hopped straight into, cars all over the scene,
A miracle event, but luckily there went Ol’Edward safe in between,
A sigh of relief, but man it was brief, that froggie hopped straight toward the bridge,
I wait for the light , and that frog’s outta sight, If I catch him he goes in the fridge!
Yes I’m upset, how mad can you get, my evening is shot all to pieces,
Just what went wrong, A frog race, Come on! My Bad luck just never ceases,
But comes a surprise, I see him arise, , my race’s about come to an end,
I better go slow, That river’s below. And Ol’Edward’s about to jump in,
And then when I creep, toward him he leaps, a dive of Olympic proportion,
But I witnessed how, his journey was now, about to end in misfortune,
Afloat in the space , a picture of grace, when suddenly grabbed with a squawk!.
Ol’Edward I’d say, in shock and dismay ,was carried away by a Hawk,
My chase at an end, I sure need a friend, my kids, I knew would be heart broke.
What could I say, “Well, Ol’Ed got away, he jumped in the river and Croaked”.

and I know you're grief stricken.
But still I wonder if that hawk,
Thought Ol' Ed tasted like chicken.
Love ya!
