The Microwave
You know dag blame it, I can’t explain it , this new fangled how to cook crave,
I think what a crime of wasted good time, waitin for the ol’microwave,
Some go tic toc and have a real clock, that’ll even figure out the days,
Others have a thingy , that goes dingy, dingy while, waitin for the ol’microwave,
‘ I know I’m not much, for cookin and such, and using that demo it gave ,
But Man look a here, there’s time for a beer , waitin for the ol’microwave,
So there is some good, as I’m sure that there would ,be a lot of real pleasure days ,
When a little sip of Brandy, would taste mighty dandy, while waitin for the ol’microwave,
All that heavy work , a feller might shirk, there’s gotta be lots of ways,
For a smart guy now , to figure out how, while waitin for the ol’microwave
,
The wife’s now employed ,and I’m overjoyed, look at the money we’ll save,
At home nothings new ,but there’s things I can do, while waiting for the ol’microwave
The eating of fish, is sure not the dish, that my ol’hunger will crave,
The wife made a buy, but that smell, I could die, waiting for the ol’microwave
Were you cussin at me? You better not be, , you’re sure gittin painfully brave,
No, No Sweet Hon, not even one, I‘m waitin for the ol’microwave,
If that’s a girl ,and not the carousel whirl, Mister you’re in for a grave,
No, No My Dear , I’m sure what you hear, is the sound of the ol’ microwave,
I’m takin the fifth, about the girl I was with , maybe my poor life to save,
To myself I’ll confess, I made a real mess, while waiting for the ol’microwave,
So now here I lay, in the third ER bay, with broken jaw wiring and staves,
A nurse from the group, warms up my soup, in the pharmacie’s
ol’microwave
So think once or twice, about my advice, and this confession I gave,
Be careful my friend ,how your time you expend ,waiting for that ol’microwave.
Epilogue:
Oh by the way, I’ve just gotta say, my mind has been messed up for days,
And as you might guess ,I wrote this whole mess while waiting for that ol’microwave

At Expo 67 in Montréal, I tasted my first nuked apple slices in the Russian pavilion. There was one microwave and hundreds of TVs. I do believe there were more TVs in that pavilion than there were in all the household in Russia at that time.
Ron
Love ya!
Jane
it's a time saver,
and with a little practice,
you'll be a nuke-anater.
As I waitin' on that ol'microwave to cook my repast...:) -e-
