Floyd’s Problem
Ol’Floyd was driving through the county one night,
And took a short cut, that looked about right,
But No , after passing a big Ranch and field,
He knew that maybe this was not a Good deal,
A little further on the road took a steep pitch,
He lost control and wound up in a ditch,
To make matters worse, son of a gun!
Something was broken, the car wouldn’t run,
Mad and frustrated he opened the hood,
But helpless to fix it ,in anger he stood,
Suddenly a loud voice , from out of the dark ,
Said check the ignition, check out the spark!
Frightened and turning the car lights were dim,
But there stood an old horse looking at him,
Who said that ? Who said that ?he yelled out in fright,
But no body answered, just the stillness of night,
Then suddenly the ol’horse stepped out of the dark,
Saying, “check out the ignition, there may be no spark!”
Disbelief and shock sent Floyd down that road,
Running for that Farm house in full overload,
Beating on the door in a terrible fright ,
The Farmer jerked it open turning on the light,
Floyd was frantic and white as the dead ,
He blurted what happened and what that horse said,
Shaking in fear, could this be a trick,
The farmer said, Son just calm down a lick,
Was he an old horse with a stripe down his face,
He said Yes Sir, Yes sir , I’d know’em any place!
Farmer said Son don’t, you pay him no mind,
That there’s old Flash, and he’s one of a kind,
Quite a good worker and horse in the fields,
But he don’t know a damn thing, about automobiles!

However, if you are smart, you will hitch him up to the back bumper and have him pull your ride out of the ditch.
Ron
of course, of course,
but I'm overjoyed,
with a talking horse,
named Floyd.
Love ya!
