The untruth is easy to find. Sometimes it's even fun.
True or False
This tale can be partly false and sometimes partly true ,
I can’t tell the difference so the truth is up to you,
Hey I bet you didn’t know , that every minute a liar is born,
My minute happened just after midnight in the very early morn,
Not saying that I’m a liar, the truth I just measure out a bit,
You tell me a story and i’ll come close to or almost repeating it,
You understand of course, that to tell a story with high interest and suspense,
You add a little fabrication, sometimes up to ten percent,
This is a mark of a good liar, where the truth is easy to switch,
But after fifteen years of tellin, which ten percent is which,
I’m a pretty good fabricator, when the truth is hard to see,
Some think I hold a Master or a Bachelor’s Degree,
I guess I must be lying again , I thought this was about me,
In the early west , to call someone a liar meant an instant gun fight,
It was the worse of insults, not a break the ice invite,
Well this ain’t the early west and I ain’t packin a gun,
So if you’re gonna call me a liar, Smile when you say that son,
Cause I’m a peaceable feller, without malice or intent,
So Calling me a liar I might consider a compliment,
They say my tales will overflow a two story church confessional,
When it comes to tellin stories, I’m considered a professional ,
So when you read my story, though it may be long and trying.
Remember everyting I write is based on fact, The fact that I might be lying!
Most of those that write stories of a humorous variety, I find, are liars to a great degree not needing of a masters, bachelors or even an associates degree. So while reading your stuff I do so with a grain of salt & since I just sort of called you a liar I am happy to be so far away so shot I do not get...-e-
Reminds me of the Star Trek episode when they say, Everything Harry Mudd says is a lie. Or as the girl who sat on Pinocchio's face and said, Lie dammit, lie.
Ain't that the truth! I'd say that you're a liar's liar. If I caught you lying around my house, I'd probably kick you out. But if I saw you at a liars contest, I'd probably cheer and shout. So continue with your lyin' ways all your days and I'll just try to figure you out.
