Get Me a Coke
The flight was boring , or at least would have been,
But in come these three well dressed business men.
Two were attorneys dressed fit to kill,
I was wondering who paid their wardrobe bill,
They grabbed seats first in typical lawyer style,
The last. a doctor ,took the seat in the isle ,
He slipped off his shoes and rested his feet,
Then got a pillow and leaned back in his seat.
It was obvious to me, they didn’t like each other,
But they seemed to be talking to one another.
I was shocked when the doctor surprisingly spoke,
“ Hey just sit here Mister , I’ll get you a coke,”
I couldn’t see it all from just where i sat,
But into that doctors one shoe he spat,
At first I’m appalled but that wasn’t all,
The other lawyer boldly gave him a call,
”Hey Doc, bring me one, since you’re on you feet,
You’re blocking the aisle way with your leaned back seat,”
This other Lawyer hopefully wasn’t that bad,
But he spit in the other shoe the Doc had,
With the flight ending, Doc put on his shoes,
And that’s when he gave, the lawyers their dues,
Exclaiming, “ It’s terrible and awful! Another nasty session,
Of hatred and fighting between our professions,
When will it all end between me and you folks?
You spittin in my shoes and me peeing in your coke!”

Reminds me of the ending of the film, The Help.
I understand that in Madison Wisconsin on St. Patrick's Day, lawyers (law students) march down State Street and engineers (St. Pat was an engineer?) pour green beer on them from the rooftops (water balloons?). These professional rivalries often start in school like stupid fraternity pranks.
Keep up the hijinks… Enjoyed.

Love ya!
