Maybe I should have named it Read it Twice. Been there and done almost all of that. I said almost all.
A Real Downer Life is just a challenge everyone must meet, And I just found my notch, it was really neat, All my friends encouraged me, to give this thing a try, I agreed it was exciting, I couldn�t pass it by, Some things are never easy, but I�ve got to say, The joy of succeeding , just took my breath away, At first I had this problem, you would never guess, I couldn�t keep my mouth shut, I was a nervous mess, Then in just this passing year, I finally saw the light, I had tried it twenty times before I got it right, Sometimes there were dark and angry clouds of doubt, That always made me question if I chose the proper route, And sometimes things didn�t work out, but I overcame defeat, No matter what my problems were I wound up on my feet , I�ve been more than lucky, every contest is a win, If I lose , you better believe it�s the last, I�m gittin in, I, don�t wanna be a sore loser, but success ain�t guaranteed, A really fired up plan or plot, is what I�ll surely need, Compensation for a failure , I�m really not too keen, After all what comes next, Remains to be seen, I�m not much to give advice, but so far it�s worked for me Tomorrow may be different, for that I�ll wait and see, I Remember this from world war two , It�s just for safety�s sake, I Yell Geronimo! Jump outta the plane, and pray that parachute don�t break! � 2020 Tom Leftwich

you and me both, i remember a trainer telling us a joke on the day of our first free fall jump. i will make this the abbreviated version. he drove them to the plane in a jeep. when the guy jumps neither his main or reserved chute opens so he looks at the ground and says "I'll bet that *&%* jeep ain't there either."

Yes it's a little bit of a word game if your chute fails , it's your last time bailin out fired up (cremation) or grave plot compensation (life ins.) remains to be seen--the viewing of course. It was fun working it all up Cheers- I think I'll have another

Hullo there, Tom. Don't tell me you're having second thoughts about "going for GOLD!" I've read the piece twice, and it still says you want to be a winner, so where's the glitch? True, it all depends on who's down there waiting to take a pot shot. Some guys land in a ditch, some in the marsh, some get stuck in the fork of a tree, some get dragged through rubble and thorn in a Wild West gust, but all inevitably land plop on their hinds or on all fours...even Geronimo, from what I'm told. You're not thinking of stopping in mid-air, I hope???
