Marriage should be a fun trip. Mine was.

Opening Line to Marriage

Happy to meet you , let’s celebrate,
Saw you’re alone, you sure look great,

Yep! I can celebrate this time it’s mine,
Fran and I just made fifty nine,

Got me thinkin, How lucky can you get,
Always single was everyone’s bet,

At first she’s smart to just say bye,
But then she took pity on this ol’ guy,

Her girlfriends told her , it just won’t work’
You think he’s special, but he’s probably a jerk,

I reckon they were right, but sometimes you meet,
Someone that Jerks you right off your feet,

Figured it maybe, just weren’t to be,
Marriage and family just wasn’t for me,

But I had to quit running and fishing about,
She had too much bait for this ol’ trout,

Hook, line and sinker mighta been where I’m at,
But I don’t remember a lot after that,

I’m lying of course, the years have passed by,
With the greatest of pleasure for this old guy,

A wonderful trip, there’ll never be another,
It’s late but we’re still here for each other,

So I’m happy to say it , let’s celebrate,
You’re not alone babe, you still look great!
