Narrow Escape

Damn! That closet door is cold,
How did I live to get this old,

Wish she’d paid her electric bill,
I really wasn’t looking for a freezing thrill

Boy that was stupid, romping on her couch,
We get caught and it won’t be no little ouch,

Her Mother will be mad enough to kill me,
Was it six or eighteen, she said she would be,

Bolted for the closet with my, shirt and pants.
Never quite got finished with our romping dance,

In the total nude naked as a Jay bird,
I huddled in that closet hopin I ain’t heard,

Mother’s cousin to a rattlesnake, that’s the local buzz,
I ain’t ready for a closure, but I’m sure she was,

Honey , always use the dead bolt; your company might be back,
I’m just not looking forward to a mother bear attack,

I think that things got frosted up and real true love had flown,
If that closet had a window it wouldn’t have flown alone,

Scared me outta romance, at least that night for sure,
I might try it once again if that dead lock is secure,

Now days with this computer stuff, the parents may not care,
Be honest and just tell them, “ You were playing with her soft ware!”
