We have those in our government that prefer to spend millions on a toilet seat.

Now I’m not one to judge the integrity of our government tasks
But there is a turning point where every high taxed citizen asks,

Do you really know what you’re doing or did you ever read the bill,
How is the proposal that you vote for going to fill your till,

Am I being too abusive of our reps; I’ll let you decide,
I was a fan of space programs after Alan Sheppard’s ride,

Problems arose and were nullified over the next decade,
One such problem surfaced , how the Ballpoint pen was made,

Engineering notes were high priority during every flight,
Behold!, in zero gravity , the ball point pen won’t write,

An Instant funding bill was passed to get a quick solution,
A million dollars ought to do it. to effect a resolution,

Government funding is never enough, all the money was well spent
But a study is now in order, add another ten percent,

After sufficient trial and error, a solution was effected,
The Astronaut pen wrote on everything, it’s ability perfected,

Zero gravity and “G” loading , it was an amazing pen
Even Russia stood in awe , performance without end ,

They tested the pen on plastic, glass and even cooking utensils
But Russia said they’d stick with something just as good, the ordinary pencils !

Double Duh !
